Ramgopal Vijaivargiya: Paintings from 1956 to 1996

The exhibition at the Kumar Gallery, February 1997, includes 35 selected works of Master Ramgopal Vijaivargiya, painted by him during the years 1956 to 1996. Born in Rajasthan in 1905; Vijaivargiya held solo exhibitions of his works throughout India, first being in 1928 at the Fine Arts and Crafts Society, Calcutta. From 1945 to 1966 he was Vice-Principal Rajasthan School of Arts, Jaipur. He was honoured with a Padam Sri award by the President of India in 1984.
